Why You NEED Lard and How to Make it!



Its a total mystery how this amazing superfood has gotten a less than deserving rap in recent years. After all, my grandparents lived into their 80's and 90's on it. And boy did they eat well!


In recent years, this nutritious, incredibly healthy fat has fallen out of favor. Could it be that the Crisco folks wanted to market their frankenfood substitute (loaded with hormone disrupting gmo soybean oil, poisonous hydrogenated oils and toxic chemical preservatives)?


Lard is a simple, super food, rendered easily from pork fat and is very versatile in the kitchen. You will want to use it for the flakiest pie crusts, crispiest fried chicken and slap-yer-mama BISCUITS (plz don't slap your mama though!).


Whether one is a growing teenager, in the fertile years or passing through life's glorious prime, you will want lard in your diet to perfectly balance hormones.


Lard form pastured pigs is also a great brain food, fights depression (high in Vitamin D), and supports healthy fertility. It can be used to make pretty artisan SOAPS that'll totally impress your friends (and yourself!) or charmingly rustic CANDLES to warm silver lit winter chilly days and nights.
